I won’t spoil the new Harry Potter for anyone - I imagine quite a few of us are fans. But is anyone else done?
I was feeling pretty anxious on Friday that it wouldn’t be good enough, after all of the waiting and hype — and I think it actually exceeded my expectations. But now I’m sad that it’s over.
For those of you reading it, any thoughts so far…

I finished it at 5:33 (I know because I was so surprised at fast the time went by) and I have to agree, I loved it.
Again I won’t give anything away, but it is my favorite.
Is it the “best so far”, I dont know. I really want to know what other people think. Will Rowlings either continue to write (I dont car if its Harry Potter or not) or will she allow others to pick up the pen and paper and write stories in the HP universe?
Ok, this won’t be a spoiler of any kind, but can anyone tell me if they’ve read (or seen) a conversation between Dumbledore and Harry regarding remorse? I could swear I’ve seen it in my head - so either I read it in one of the books or saw it in one of the movies - but I can’t find it at ALL.
If you come across anything about remorse in book 7, can you let me know where you found it? Meanwhile, I will keep looking…
I think Hermione is the one who mentions remorse being necessary for reconciliation (not to be too specific, but I can be if that is confusing) rather than Dumbledore. I believe she mentions it in book 7 (somewhere in the first 500 pages….lol…but seriously).
I finished last night at 1am…GOD, it was so good!
There was a point where I had tears streaming down my face…and I refuse to feel silly about it!
I read that Rowling IS writing again…I’m pretty much sold already on anything she produces.
Accio Biblio!
Beth:
The person we both know from college (who lives in LA) is taking the HP book to Home Depot to have the burnt orange color matched so he can paint a wall that color : )
Ha! It’s just too perfect.
